OMG Katie! You look fantastic! I’ve been reading your blog since the day after you told me about it and now and I finally caught up – I’m so proud of myself for that ^-^ Throughout the last couple of weeks I’ve wanted to comment on some of your past posts but thought it’d be weird to respond to issues from last year! But anyways, there are some things I’d like to bring to your attention:
1. Have you heard of “Cook yourself thin”? They have some pretty cool cookbooks that teach you about food substitution so that you can still “indulge” in things like macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, pizza, etc. but with halve the calories. They also teach you about adding things to some dishes to keep you fuller longer (i.e. spinach to meatloaf).
2. Have you heard of body dysmorphic disorder? Don’t worry, you don’t have all of the symptoms for it, but I just wanted to let you know that it is something that exists and you are not alone in your feelings of insecurity. Essentially BDD is a disorder in which a person fixates on a minor or imagined flaw to the point of depression/social withdrawal. When I first started reading your blog I must admit I felt guilty because at one point I told you you could be a make-up model (implying that your weight kept you from being a “normal” model). It’s going to take some time to get used to your “new” body but rest assured that still having some leftover insecurities don’t make you crazy. If they get worse however, there’s nothing wrong with seeking out help.
3. As far as your exercise routine, do you think you’d get back into ice-skating?
4. Also, you’ve inspired me to get off of the couch and loose the last 10 lbs I’ve been holding on to since February! Love you and can’t wait to see you reach your goal! <3
Happy friday to you, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you doing in this picture? You look great!
