And the Verdict is...

Down 4.2 pounds!! I'm so excited right now. It's been a rough few weeks, with fairly small scale losses, and I'm so happy to see a big loss! I'm a little sleepy from some debauchery last night, but I'll be sure to expand on this more tomorrow. One thing I have to mention--according to BMI, I am in the OVERWEIGHT category, not obese. That is a major victory for me =)

  2. Wow, that is amazing! Your WLJ is so inspirational to me, gives me hope that I can make it through this weight loss battle I've been battling my whole life it seems. I hope I have a big loss like that next week. And CONGRATS on making it into the overweight category! I'm 17.6 pounds away from being in the "healthy" category and we'll both be there in a flash!

  3. thanks guys! Yup, Stephanie, I have 26.2 pounds to go to be a "healthy" weight. I hate BMI though. I mean, I feel pretty healthy already and I can do pretty athletic things, like run a 5K. It's irritating that I'm technically on the borderline of obese.

    BMI is not a totally accurate measurement of one's health, IMO.

  4. I totally agree! Are you 5'5'' by chance? I am too and 150 is at the top of my healthy weight range. You totally rock for losing 4.2 pounds AND running a 5K! The most I can run is about a mile and a half without stopping. I've been able to run 2 miles without stopping before but I really have to have my head in the game. I think I may start training for a 5K soon though :)

    I think you're a rock star no matter what your BMI! I relate since I start to look really slim around 155 even though that's 5 pounds over what is a "healthy" BMI. BOO on BMI!

  5. Stephanie, yup I'm 5'5'' and my goal weight (at least for now) is 150. I haven't been 150 pounds since I was 13 years old, so I have no idea what I'll look like then. Thanks for all the encouragement, and we will both get to our goals soon enough!

  6. For now my goal is 140, but I may try to get down to 130. I haven't weighed 120 since I was 12 and I was an inch shorter, so I'm not sure if 120 would look too thin or alright for me haha. I'm gonna re-evaluate my goal once I get there. I got down to 145 last year and looked really thin, so we'll see :)
